In plain words

We never sell your personal data. We never show your individual bike history to anyone unless you explicitly share it.

We do use anonymized, aggregated statistics to improve CycleCare and understand maintenance trends. You can export or delete all your data at any time.

1. Introduction

CycleCare is a motorcycle maintenance tracking application operated by Individual Entrepreneur Aleksandr Lepesii ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Email address (for account creation and authentication)
Motorcycle data (make, model, year, VIN, nickname)
Mileage logs and odometer readings
Service records and maintenance history
Part replacement records and associated costs
Documents you upload (manuals, receipts) and their metadata

3. How We Use Your Data (Legal Basis)

To provide the service (performance of contract): storing your records, computing wear levels, sending the reminders you configure.
Aggregated and anonymized analytics (legitimate interest, consented via the Terms of Service): usage data stripped of personal identifiers and combined across users, for product improvement, industry research, and commercial insights. It cannot be traced back to you.
De-identified model training (consented via the Terms of Service): community library documents and anonymized patterns may be used to train and evaluate features such as manual Q&A. Private documents are excluded.

The Terms of Service version you accepted is recorded on your account as the record of consent.

4. How We Store Your Data

We use Firebase Authentication (by Google) to manage user accounts and sessions. Your motorcycle and maintenance data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

5. Third-Party Services

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is only shared with the third-party services listed above to the extent necessary to provide the application's functionality. Your individual maintenance history is only ever disclosed through actions you take yourself — an ownership transfer or a history report you request. Insights we may share commercially are aggregated and anonymized (section 3) and never identify you.

7. Your Rights: Export and Deletion

You can export all your data (Settings → Legal → Export data) and delete your account with all associated data at any time (Settings → Legal → Delete account). These cover your rights of access and erasure. For anything else, contact us.
